Post-secondary school intensive studies

• For these courses we need teachers with experience teaching larger groups, able to teach at a highly professional level for the whole school year, as well as prepare students for the (Czech) State Exam in English, Cambridge exams – KET, PET, FCE, CAE. This form of teaching requires a long-term responsible and systematic approach, good relationships with students and teamwork with Czech teachers. Part of the teacher's responsibility is quality preparation and teaching, as well as marking students' essays throughout the year.
• 10 classes from beginner to advanced levels (two teachers - a Czech and a native English speaking teacher share two classes. They teach 2 hours in both classes every day)
• 20 hours per week (Monday - Friday 9.00 a.m. - 12.30 p.m.), 4 teaching hours per day
• One academic year: 17th September 2007 – 13th June 2008
• Maximum 20 students in a class (18-25 years old)
• The main textbooks are Face2Face (Oxford), Enterprise and Upstream (Express Publishing)

Public courses for adults

Conversation Courses with Native Speaking Teachers

• Courses are led so that students learn to use acquired knowledge (vocabulary and grammar) in practical life. The main focus is on communication. A course covers one textbook from the Cutting Edge series at the given knowledge level
• For these courses we need teachers who know how to motivate students, with whom learning is varied, interesting and focused mainly on conversation and explaining and revising grammar
• Native speaking teachers teach intermediate to advanced levels
• Czech teachers teach beginner to intermediate levels
• Intensity of teaching: 3, 4, 6, 9, 10 or 20 hours per week from 8.30 or 9.00 a.m.; 5.00 or 5.30 p.m. (could be combined as a full-time job)
• We open courses every 6 weeks throughout the school year; every course takes 120 hours
• Maximum 9 students in a class
• One teacher teaches his/her own courses alone (not shared)
• The main textbook for public courses is the Cutting Edge series (Longman).

Preparatory courses for FCE, CAE, CPE, TOEFL

• For exam preparation courses we need teachers with experience of such, who need to have excellent ability at explaining English grammar and vocabulary to students.
• 4 or 6 hours per week; from 4.30 or 5.30 p.m.
• We open courses twice a school year
• Maximum 9 students in a class
• For these specialised courses there is a variety of specific textbooks

Business Englishcourses

• For Business English courses we need teachers with practical knowledge of the vocabulary and issues of business English.
• 4 hours per week; from 6.00 p.m.
• We open courses twice a school year
• Maximum 9 students in a class
• For these specialised courses there is a variety of specific textbooks

Holiday courses in Prague

• Intermediate or upper-intermediate level
• 20 lessons per week (4 hours per day)
• One-month or 14-day courses in July from 8.30 a.m. or 4.30 p.m.
• Maximum 9 students in a class

Individual and in-company lessons

Learning is based on the requirements of the client (usually 1-2x per week 90 minutes) and its focus is thus subject to the client's needs (usually general English, business English, IT English, English for banking, Exam preparation)

Recruitment of new teachers

Work applicants will be invited for a job interview at our school office. The interview will be held with one of our senior-teachers and will consist of a written test and oral interview (lasting approximately 60 minutes). If you fulfil our requirements for teaching you will be asked to teach a show lesson on one of our courses.

Our school has a good name and most students come to us on recommendation, therefore teachers should be professional at all times, which includes:
